2 Wrap gently Bring each side across the body securely while leaving comfortable room around the chest and hips.
3 Check comfort Keep the face and neck clear, check that baby is not too warm, and place them on their back to sleep.

Always place baby on their back on a firm, flat sleep surface. Keep the face and head uncovered, avoid overheating, and stop swaddling as soon as baby shows signs of trying to roll. Follow your paediatrician’s advice.
